Industree FoundationRole: Social Impact Analyst
As part of my Social Entrepreneurship and Impact course, I conducted an in-depth analysis of the Industree Foundation, a pioneering organization committed to empowering marginalized women in India. The project explored how Industree integrates traditional craftsmanship with modern supply chains to foster sustainable livelihoods.
Key areas of focus included examining the inspirational journey of founder Neelam Chhiber, analyzing the foundation’s mission to combat poverty and underemployment among women, and evaluating its flagship initiative, Mission Creative Million. These insights highlighted the foundation’s efforts to achieve economic independence for women through social entrepreneurship.
This project provided a deep understanding of how innovative business models can drive community empowerment and sustainable impact, reinforcing the importance of aligning organizational goals with social responsibility.
Challenges
The analysis revealed internal obstacles such as scaling operations while preserving traditional craftsmanship, navigating market complexities, and ensuring sustainable impact. Tackling poverty and underemployment among women required innovative approaches and robust execution to achieve long-term goals.
